New Hartford, NY– Today, Claudia Tenney for Congress released the following statement in response to Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi’s vote to rubber stamp Cuomo’s reckless, corrupt budget:
“Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi has proven yet again that he is everything wrong with Albany, and he’d be a rubber stamp for Nancy Pelosi in Washington. Governor Cuomo’s reckless budget is full of cronyism, waste, and more of the same failed policies that have driven record numbers of people and jobs out of upstate New York,” said Raychel Renna, Campaign Manager for Claudia Tenney for Congress.
The 2018-2019 budget directs billions of taxpayer dollars to the START Up NY program that fails to live up to Cuomo’s employment promises. The budget includes no reforms to increase oversight of these failed economic development programs and does not address the culture of corruption in Albany that has resulted in multiple convictions of public officials.
